The book Donald Trump: Four Years of Democracy at Risk recounts the most representative episodes of a
presidency that dismantled institutions, international agreements and traditions of American democracy. In
particular, it examines the deep social and racial tensions that caused the unraveling of Trump’s presidency as a reflection of his incapacity to adequately combat the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Lastly, the book evaluates the electoral dynamics leading to the elections of November 3, 2020 and the desperate attempt by Donald Trump to overturn the outcome of the elections culminating with the dramatic assault on the Capitol by the Trumpist militias.
